• Now Sapphire added the Vista Del Mar Wedding Venue during 2019 renovations

• Vista Del Mar is home to a large wooden pergola for wedding ceremonies and terrace for receptions, as well as an indoor, ocean view wedding venue.

The Now Sapphire Vista del Mar wedding venue is available for wedding ceremonies and receptions with a capacity of 100 guests. For sure the venue is inspired by the success of the Tequilla terrace, probably Now Sapphire’s most popular location. There is certainly a lot to be said for having the ceremony and reception venues side by side.

Vista del Mar has one major difference with the Tequila Terrace: location. And this one swings both ways. We LOVE that the Vista del Mar is located at the extreme South of Now Sapphire. The area is basically private and feels super separate from the rest of the resort. The Now Sapphire Tequila Terrace, on the other hand, is smack bang in the heart of the resort and is accessed through one of the buffet restaurants. The plus side is that the Tequila Terrace is certainly more protected by the buildings and the facilities are only a few steps away… If you wondering how to choose between a Tequilla Terrace and Vista del Mar wedding contact us! Vista del Mar Pergola

Wedding Ceremonies at Vista del Mar are held under the large pergola. Big structures like pergolas and gazebos provide a great base for wedding ceremonies. While they look amazing smothered in decor pergolas also often require relatively little to make them pop because the structure itself is so eye-catching.

Elegant Weddings

Also of note is that the ceremony area and entry and aisle leading up to the pergola is permanent decking. Many beach locations require couples to add a solid pathway for elegant weddings where the bride doesn’t want to touch the sand. Not only is the aisle deck, but there is also a pretty generous decked area underneath there pergola with room for 24 guests. All these permanent wooden decks make Vista del Mar a pretty high heel friendly wedding venue for brides and guests. Stilletos are perhaps not recommended unless you’re a pro (decks like to eat thin heels,) but brides don’t have to worry about sinking heel first into the sand during their ceremony.

The combination of the epic pergola, privacy, and decking PLUS the inside wedding venue behind the ceremony spot (we’ll get to that) makes Vista del Mar a really great elegant wedding location. You can certainly style Vista del Mar with all the boho-chic you can find on Pinterest – and it will look amazing! But couples going for tropical chic, or even beach black tie are going to be the ones delighted by Vista del Mar as there are few venues we know that offer all that Vista del Mar does.

Vista del Mar Terrace

Set back from the ceremony area but connected by the deck aisle is the Vista del Mar terrace. Again, the permanent decking is huge whether it’s used for dinner or dancing.

Vista del Mar Indoor Wedding Venue

We’ve been to plenty of beach weddings with ballroom receptions in our time. We understand the comfort of air-con and getting out of the elements – but were always a bit sad to leave that ocean view behind. The Now Sapphire wedding team has come up with the solution: an indoor ocean view wedding venue! This is going to be a hit for receptions for sure, but it’s also going to be a reassuring backup for wedding ceremonies during the rainy season.

Vista del Mar Roomblocks

During our site visit to Now Sapphire, our eagle-eyed agents noticed the rooms overlooking Vista del Mar Venue. Wouldn’t it be great, they thought, if you could have the rooms overlooking the venue for you and your guests? That would make for the ultimate private destination wedding experience!

The closest building is Building #6 with Room categories: Preferred Club Junior Suite Tropical View, Preferred Club Junior Suite Oceanfront View, and Preferred Club Junior Suite Beachfront Swimout.
